Lest I ForgetI keep this nametag front and centre on my desk as a reminder of my first and worst job. At the age of 16, I was employed part-time as a busboy and dishwasher at Steak & Burger Restaurant. It remains the most physically demanding job I have ever held, yet I was paid the minimum wage of only $3.15 per hour. As we all know, business has its ups and downs. Looking at this old nametag keeps me humble when business is up; when it’s down, it rekindles my determination to succeed. Ironically, today as a vegetarian, I avoid all steaks and burgers.
